Yes, if it was not wooded during the 10 years before the project is notified and the project area is at least 0.5 ha. The Afforestation method also requires control of the land for at least 30 years, a sustainable management document and species complying with the regional orders.

The method for restoring damaged forest stands applies if the disaster happened less than 5 years before the project is filed. After a storm, at least 40% of stems must have been destroyed; after dieback, 40% of stems must show at least 50% leaf loss. Replanting after harvesting a healthy stand is excluded.

Yes, within the limit set by the forest methods: public grants must not exceed 50% of the cost of the forestry work, so that the funding brought by the project remains necessary.

For afforestation, the owner commits to providing one for the project. For continuous-stock management, the plots must already have one, with an amendment to be approved. For restoration, work planned in a sustainable management document remains eligible if it has not started before notification.

An independent auditor, qualified according to the method’s criteria, verifies the project, usually after 5 years. The authorities then recognise the carbon credits, which can be transferred to funders on the Label Bas-Carbone register.

The money from the companies funding your project is held in trust, then paid to you as the project reaches its stages.
