- Carbon Agri
- Label Bas-Carbone methodology dedicated to livestock farms. Certifies emission reductions through virtuous practices: animal feed, effluent management, grasslands, hedgerows.
- Upstream scope 3
- Indirect emissions from raw material purchases, transport and packaging. In the agri-food industry, upstream scope 3 often represents 80% of total emissions.
- Environmental labelling
- Scheme under Article 2 of the Climate and Resilience Act requiring display of environmental impact of food products (GHG, biodiversity, water, pesticides).
- EGAlim
- Law for balanced commercial relationships in the agricultural and food sector (2018, strengthened 2021). Promotes healthy, sustainable and accessible food.
- HVE
- High Environmental Value — level 3 environmental certification for farms. Evaluates biodiversity, phytosanitary strategy, fertilisation management and irrigation.
- Farm to Fork
- European strategy "From Farm to Fork" aiming for a sustainable food system. Targets of 50% pesticide reduction and 20% fertiliser reduction by 2030.
- Insetting
- Funding carbon reduction or sequestration projects directly within your value chain (with your suppliers, in your sourcing areas). More credible than traditional offsetting.
- Regenerative
- Regenerative agriculture — practices aimed at restoring soil health: permanent cover, diversified rotations, reduced tillage, livestock integration. Sequesters carbon in soils.
